About Expert Oklahoma City Dog Trainer

Loreanne Cowan is the trainer at Big Friendly Dog Training in Oklahoma City. She is a leading canine care specialist with a background in reducing canine anxiety in both a home environment and a veterinary hospital environment.

This mother of four grown children was raised on a farm in southwest Kansas where the family housed no fewer than three outdoor dogs, seventeen farm cats, one indoor poodle, chickens, goats, and numerous pigs.

Animals have always been a big part of Loreanne’s life, and they have always brought her joy. She has never lived without a four-legged friend!

Loreanne has five grandchildren, and each of her children have two or three dogs each. She truly believes in spreading the good word about dog ownership! She has been married to her husband, Justin, for 24 years.

Loreanne’s experience as a vet tech led her to launch her own successful career as a pet sitter. With over sixty clients, it is clear that she is trustworthy and dependable when it comes to animal care. It was only a matter of time before she decided to expand on her knowledge by training with Canine Trade Group and becoming a certified canine behavior specialist, Dog Bite Prevention Educator through DogNostics Career Center and an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator.

Loreanne has lived in the Northwest Oklahoma City Area for 13 years. She loves the community and its people and is also a proud tribal member of the Cherokee Nation and has family ties in Eastern Oklahoma.

Loreanne’s love of nature and animals has, of course, extended to her own home. She is an avid gardener and raises perennials to attract bees and butterflies. She has a one year old rescue named Grizzmo, aka Grizz, who is her training partner and two Boston Terriers, named Olive Bean and Porqen Bean.
